A little piece of info you should know about concerning this amp:
You should also know about the 2 input options: 1)DC: This "Direct Coupled" input has no capacitor in signal path. Good for sound/bass but BAD if your preamp is leaking any DC (direct current). The amp will multiply any direct current present at the preamp by a factor of 30x and literally cook your speakers!!!!! To check for this, power off all components, disconnect the speakers and plug the preamp in. When you turn everything on allow for warm up. If there is direct current present, the indicator lights will flash on = BAD so then use the AC input and have your preamp checked/serviced.
2)AC: This is the capacitor coupled input and the safest way to use this amp and is common in most designs.
Finally, you should understand that the main PCB's CANNOT be replaced on these. PS Audio and Cullen Circuits no longer have them. So if and when the board(s) go bad, there really is no chance for a replacement. Keep that in mind when your looking to spend money on an old amp like this.
